Split the PDF step by step

  1. Upload the PDFOpen the split PDF tool and select the document. The pages appear as thumbnails.
  2. Create groups and mark pagesThe active group collects the pages you tap. Press “+ New group” for the next file and keep marking. Example: group 1 with pages 1, 2 and 3; group 2 with 7 and 8; group 3 with 10.
  3. Review and downloadThe summary shows one PDF per group. Press Generate PDFs: a single group downloads as a PDF; several groups, together in a ZIP.

If you cut a ten-page document into three groups (1–3, 7–8 and 10), you get three PDFs inside a ZIP. Pages you do not assign to any group are not included.

Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

How do I write the ranges?

You do not have to type them: you create a group, tap the pages that go together and add another group for the next PDF. If you prefer the text field, it is still available at the bottom of the tool.

What do I download if I set several ranges?

A PDF if there is only one group with pages. If there are two or more groups, a ZIP is generated with one PDF per group: one download, several files.

Is it the same as extracting pages?

No. Splitting generates one file per group; extracting joins the chosen pages into a single PDF.
