How to extract pages from a PDF

Save specific pages as a new PDF. The original document is not modified; this is not dropping loose sheets.

Extracting pages means saving the sheets you care about as a standalone file. The original PDF is not trimmed: you get a new document with only what you marked.

Extracting is not deleting

If the goal is a clean PDF without covers or annexes, remove those pages from the document. If the goal is to take only the annex, the chapter or pages 3 and 7 somewhere else, extract. Splitting is for when you want several files at once, not one.

Quick answers

Frequently asked questions

Is it the same as removing a page?

No. Removing pages deletes sheets from the document and leaves you the rest. Extracting copies the chosen pages into a new PDF and does not alter the file you uploaded.

Is it the same as splitting a PDF?

Splitting generates one file per page group (or a ZIP if there are several groups). Extracting always returns a single PDF with all the requested pages.

Can I repeat a page?

No. Overlapping ranges are rejected. You can change the order: 5,1,3 comes out in that order.
