How it works
- Select the document Choose a DOC or DOCX file. The type is checked from the content, not only the extension.
- Process the document Submit the job and wait for conversion to finish.
- Download the PDF When the status is ready, download the PDF. It expires with guest retention.
Converting Word to PDF is for sending a document the recipient does not have to open in Word, or for archiving it in a more stable format. ToolZen accepts DOC and DOCX. The type is detected from the content: a ZIP that is not a Word document, or a file that is only named .docx, does not get in. ODT, RTF and HTML are not accepted.
Conversion happens on the ToolZen server. The final PDF is available to download while temporary retention lasts.
There are published limits: 25 MB per file, a maximum number of pages in the resulting PDF and a maximum processing time. A huge document or one full of complex objects can run out of time. Macros, ActiveX controls and odd embedded files are not a goal of this tool. Fidelity of fonts, nested tables or charts can differ from the original. We do not promise a certified print proof or that “any Word comes out the same”.
You upload the file, check the status and download the PDF while temporary retention lasts. There is no account. The input Word is deleted when it finishes. We do not send the document to a cloud conversion API.
Use cases: turn a DOCX contract into a PDF to sign elsewhere, archive a report, or later merge that PDF with others using merge PDF. Common mistakes: uploading a PDF, an ODT, a protected document that cannot be opened, or a corrupt DOCX. In those cases you will see a rejection or a job failure, not a fake file.
Frequently asked questions
Which Word formats are accepted?
DOC and DOCX. ODT, RTF, TXT and files that are only named .docx but are not a Word document are not accepted.
Does the layout stay identical?
We do not promise that. Fonts, tables and complex objects may look different. The goal is a valid PDF, not a certified print proof.
How long does conversion take?
It depends on document size. Very large files may hit the maximum processing time published on this page.
Is there a page limit?
Yes. The resulting PDF cannot exceed the maximum pages published on this page. A longer document fails in a controlled way.
Is the Word file sent to the internet?
No. Conversion happens on ToolZen. We do not use third-party conversion APIs.
