ToolZen’s watermark is a short text overlaid on every page. You choose the content (up to 80 characters) and the position: centre, top edge or bottom edge. The font is Helvetica at 24 points, opaque. There is no colour picker, no opacity, no image and no 45-degree diagonal in this version.
The text allows letters (including Spanish), numbers, spaces and simple punctuation. Typical injection characters (;, |, `, $, parentheses, slashes) are rejected. The validated value is escaped to a PostScript literal and written to a workspace file, never concatenated onto a shell command. Stamp page size comes from the first page’s MediaBox; the overlay is repeated on all of them. A PDF with pages of different sizes can misalign the text.
One PDF, 25 MB, half-hour guest retention. The input is deleted when it finishes. There is no account. It is not a digital signature and not DRM. If you need to rotate the document first, rotate; if the margins get in the way, crop. An encrypted or damaged PDF fails in a controlled way.
Frequently asked questions
Can I put a logo or an image?
No. Text only. There is no graphic watermark in this version.
Is there transparency or opacity?
No. The text is drawn opaque. We do not fake an opacity control that the current flow does not apply.
Which characters are accepted?
Letters, numbers, spaces and simple punctuation. ;, |, `, $, parentheses and paths are rejected. The text is not passed to the shell.
Does the mark look the same on every page?
The same stamp is repeated. Stamp size comes from the first page’s MediaBox. A PDF with mixed sizes may look misaligned on later pages.
